Listed as 100% cotton (Aug. 2011), this 6.1 oz/yd fabric is similar in weight to a moderately heavy t-shirt. This is a summer-weight pant, not a thick, fuzzy winter garment. The oxford grey pant I ordered was not 100% cotton, but has 10 percent nylon. That added nylon content helps a garment keep its shape and reduces shrinkage, but does reduce breathability just a bit. With inexpensive 100% cotton garments, you might normally buy one size larger than normal to allow for shrinkage. But, this pant in light grey (with its 10% nylon) did not shrink much when dried at a low setting. The fabric is cut very generously, and the drawstring waist fits a wide range of sizes. The MEDIUM in Oxford Grey should comfortably fit most males with a true waist measurement (as opposed to nominal pant size) of 34 to perhaps 39+ inches. The elastic bottom cuff is loose, but at least partially does its job. The inseam is a bit more than 31 inches after repeated washings (again, this applies only to the Oxford Grey Medium with its 10% nylon). Our gas dryer is always set at the lowest setting and has a good auto-stop sensor. Buyers with different dryers might get worse results.Bottom line: Not an upscale product, but this loose-fitting and lightweight pant is fine for lounging at home or working out. It is a bit better constructed than the comparably priced Russell pant that I own.UPDATE Nov. 2012: I just received a Medium Black pant. The Amazon description currently states 60/40 fabric. I received 100% cotton. The inseam was shorter than previous and the cut in the thigh/hip areas seems a bit narrower (but still very loose). I have to stretch a size Medium after every drying to keep the inseam longer than 31 inches. A thick logo patch is glued to the fabric--a minus if you might want to remove it. Amazon has a great return policy if you are disappointed. Good luck.
